EFC9 continues its mission to work for sustainable business through a series of projects that promote green business throughout Region IX. Projects that are on-going with new initiatives include State of Green Business in Las Vegas, Tribal Recycling, Sustainable Enterprise in California and Nevada, and Biodiesel Roundtable in Los Angeles, and are described along with others in greater detail in this section:

Tribal Green Economies Program - Since 2004, EFC9 has worked with Region 9 tribes to promote long-term stewardship of tribal lands. Our project work undertaken under an EFC9/GreenMBA partnership has focused on developing and/or growing entrepreneurial programs that promote sustainable enterprise in recycling, geotourism and renewable energy.

Greening Personal Care and Cleaning Products - Consumers and workers are exposed to a variety of chemicals in products they use daily such as cosmetics and cleaning products, many of which can present health and environmental concerns. EFC9 has been engaged in a variety of projects addressing these concerns.

Financing Climate Change - EFC9 is focusing on developing a webinar series that will helps SMEs understand new requirements and compliance. These webinars will also focus on how business can save money while reducing their carbon footprint and introduce financing opportunities and return on investment analyses for renewable energy purchases.
